With the functional diversification of tall building, the high-rise buildings with transfer slab have been widely demanded. At present, the studies on the internal force distributing rules and the analytic method of anti-earthquake responses of thick transfer slabs are not systematic and in-depth, also are less mature than beam transferring structure and truss transferring structure. The design and application of this project are constrained and impacted. In this paper, the dynamical performance of a thick transfer slab was analyzed and discussed and a reference was provided for the research of this aspect.The model was built with elastic floor, and thick transfer slab was adopted with solid elements. In this paper the models can be divided into two parts, one is to change the location of the thick transfer slab; another is to change the property of the thick transfer slab. Then the integrated finite element method is adopted and the ANSYS, a finite-element analysis program, is used to conduct the dynamical analysis, including modal analysis, response spectrum analysis and time history analysis. Each model's inter-storey displacement, inter-storey drift ratio and inter-storey shear force can be get from the calculation and the analysis. From contrasting and analyzing the results of each model, the writer has researched the influence of the structure's dynamic property and the influence for the horizontal seismic responses that caused by the thick transfer slab's location and property.The purpose of this paper is to get much more intensive understanding of the high-rise building with thick transfer slabs, from researching the effect in the structure dynamic properties caused by the level and property of thick transfer slab and to provide some basis for the deeper study and design.
