With the rapid development of high-rise buildings, single-function buildings have failed to meet people's needs. Modern high-rise buildings are developping to multi-functional, mixed-use, which will inevitably lead vertical structure or form of the construction to a large difference between the upper and lower. This require to arrang a level transition structure for the change of the upper and lower structural system or the column net in the floor where structure changes. This article introduced the related theories of finite element analysis and dynamic analysis for the high-rise building, and analyzed a structure with transition plate by the ANSYS finite element software. Then, we get the natural period of structure by modal analysis, and discussed the influence of the stiffness distribution in the plane and mutation between of the upper and the lower on structure through the vibration form of each period. Depending on the above analysis, with seismic response spectrum analysis and dynamic time-history analysis to the structure, we studied the impact of transition plate for the stress and displacement of structure, and the distribution of stress in the transition plate. The results show that the large space structure below the transition plate has a great impact on the stiffness of structure in plane, and when its siffness center does not coincide with the siffness of upper structure structure will perform torsional response under seismic action. The displacement response of structure relative to the ground motion has a certain degree of lag, but the stress response is sensitive. The structural stiffness above transition plate has a most significant impact on the natural period of structure, and with the increase of it the inter-storey displacement angle curve tends to flat at the converter plate, what is beneficial to the earthquake-resistant, while the thickness and stiffness of transition plate and the structural stiffness below transition plate is negative to the earthquake-resistant.
