With the development of the power system and the expanding of the electric net's scale, the economic losses and social influence is to be difficult to estimate if the transmission line's fault cannot be cut off rapidly and accurately so that caused the extending of the fault or the unsteady of the power system. For this reason , the requirement of the relay protection's capability is more and more high . To improving the reliability protecting, it is very necessary that the simulating and research of the relay's act performance before the relay be employed and the exact testing and analysis after the fault.The author research the theories of the power system simulation , then design and realize the relay protection digital—physics hybrid dynamic simulation testing system based on fault-data-replay. And make a lot of reseach of relay protection by using this system .The paper first introduces the electrical power system relay protection and the test technology as well as the simulation technology development and the present situation, proposes this topic design research duty. The paper second chapter key carries on the system simulation, the power system simulation modelling and Matlab the SPS(Simpowersystem) discussion. In the paper third chapter, the author design and realize the relay protection digital—physics hybrid dynamic simulation testing system based on fault-data-replay by using the existing software and hardware condition. The fourth chapter uses this simulation test system to conduct the thorough research of the power system distance relays characteristic, and carries on the protection characteristic actual test. Furthermore, carries on the simulation to study these three questions such as influence of reverse branch leg'sfault to distance relays and angle-compared-ground-impedance-relay's characteristic as well as the power system distance relays characteristic when the system is oscillatory .Fifth chapter studies the application of this system in the protection relay's adjusted value examination .By the simulation of the power system's fault, the author implement the simulation testing to the adjusted value of the power system's protection relay .In the sixth chapter, the author integrate this system with the WLZB-II type transmission line protection and the WBB-III type transformer protection test-bed , develop a set of relay protection digital—physics hybrid dynamic simulation testing teaching system.The final seventh chapter carries on the analysis appraisal to this topic research results, summarized the advantage and shortage of the system, and carrying on an outlook to the thorough research of future that topic.
