Analysis Of Transverse Load Distribution Of Multi-box Girder Bridge And Its Experimental Study

Multi-box girder bridge is greatly recommended and popularized by the ministry of communications of China in the recent years. Based on the characteristics of this type structure, this paper researched the method suitable for calculating the transverse load distribution of this type bridge. By finite element analysis, studied how the transverse load distribution vary along the span of the bridge. Also parameters influencing transverse load distribution were discussed, and the main influencing parameters were picked up. Meanwhile, two organic glass model experimental analysis and one load test on a bridge were performed to validate the finite element model and the transverse load distribution of this type bridge.The main works in this paper are as follows:1. Summarized the emergence and the development of multi-box girder bridge, and systematic elaborated the main characteristics of this type bridge. Also the present application of multi-box girder bridge and the present research works of its transverse load distribution were introduced. Then the problems existed and the main works of this paper were pointed out.2. Introduced methods for calculating transverse load distribution, and found out the method suitable for calculating the transverse load distribution of multi-box girder bridge.3. By finite element analysis, and combined with organic glass model experiment and bridge load test, found out the law of transverse load distribution of this type bridge. Then the suitable method for calculating the transverse load distribution of multi-box girder bridge and some advice were given.4. Parameters influencing transverse load distribution of multi-box girder bridge were discussed, and the main influencing parameters were picked up. Also some advice and simplification were given.
