Reinforced concrete arch bridge has great competition in the moder long-span arch bridge, and the ribbed-box arch bridge is the common kind in the arch bridge. So, it has remarkably signification in the theory and practical value to study the behavior of loading propagation about this kind of bridge.Based on the characteristics of this type structure, the actual distribution of transverse load were measured and analyzed combining with analysis by finite element,the organic glass model tests of a ribbed-reinforced concrete arch bridge and the loading test of a already completed arch bridge. Sum up the suitable method for calculating the transverse load distribution of this type bridge. Then, the measured results were compared with the calculated ones by the lever principle method. Finally, the transverse load distribution of this type bridge was analysed and verified.The main contents in this thesis as follows:1. Firstly, summarized the emergence and the development of ribbed-box arch bridge, and systematically elaborated the main characteristics of this type of bridge. Then the present application of ribbed-box arch bridge and the present research works of its transverse load distribution were introduced. At last the existent problems and the main works in this thesis were pointed out.2. Introduced the methods for calculating transverse load distribution, and found out the method suitable for calculating the transverse load distribution of ribbed-box arch bridge.3. By finite element analysis, and combining with organic glass model experiment and a bridge loading test, get the regulation of transverse load distribution of this type bridge. Then the suitable method for calculating the transverse load distribution of ribbed-box arch bridge were given.4. Summarized the change of the transverse load distribution along the bridge span according the analysis results.Then, make a comparison between the results of finite element analysis and the results calculated by the lever principle method to verify the applicability of the lever principle method.
