According to the requirement of UHV SF6 circuit breaker's development, at the background of the "The study of the 1100kV super voltage circuit breaker" item which is cooperated by Pinggao group Co.Ltd. and us, aiming at the theory and character of SF6 circuit breaker, selecting lower voltage class 252kV SF6 circuit breaker as research object, gas flow field in the arc-chute model are built during the interrupting course, So the law of gas flowing is gotten in arc-chute under the low current condition. Then pressure feature in arc-quenching chamber of 252kV SF6 circuit breaker is measured, the arc model and the calculation result are proved. Because the arc model and calculation technique have general characteristic, the program can be used to UHV SF6 circuit breaker's development.According to concrete structure model studied, arc model is built in this paper and self-program is added to PHOENICS soft, the grids technique in the complex domain including the moving boundary technique arithmetic which fits the circuit breaker breaking process is built. The gas flowing characteristic is calculated by this software during low current interrupting course. The pressure changing character in the pressure chamber is analyzed. As do the gas pressure, the speed, the density in the flow field distribution with temporal and spatial variation. So that the law of gas flowing is gotten in arc-chute under the low current condition.Measure system of pressure feature is designed in this paper. Seven points of pressure change representation are selected, multiple tests of multipoint are realized through changing base-pressure and velocity feature of breaker. The test overall reflects pressure feature in chamber and influence of structural parameter. Utilizing test result to prove theory, the conclusion is that theory calculation result is correct and feasible.Theory research in this paper as the base of design software package of breaker's development, pressure feature test has guiding significance for research of arc-extinguish performance and correlated theory in SF6 circuit breaker. This paper can be as base of domestic UHV electric network's building.
