The technology of glass straight line double edging machine develops in the late 1990'soverseas, but the price of their equipments is quite expensive. In our nation, the machines areat the phase of development and research. On the basis of the request of an enterprise of glassmachining, This thesis has designed this kind of equipments ourselves.This thesis has mainly studied step motor, transducer, optical encoder, programmablelogic controller, and a control system which is composed by them adopted in the machine, itmainly introduces step motor, the available frequency controller and some functions of theencoder. This control system including PLC, step motor, the available frequency controller,and the encoder, controls the glass processing. The system has basically achieved the demandof production in control precision. The servo system is replaced by it, not only will reduce thecost but also meet the market requirements. Also the PLC program is designed to carry on thecontrol, and carried on the scene debugging, the anticipated goal will be achieved as well. Inthe meanwhile, disturbance questions have been solved and the practical selection has beenpredominated. In addition, the thesis introduces the primary parameters of the interface.This thesis not. only has all-around dissertated the collectivity design project about theelectrical control system of the machine, but also analysed the performance of the controlsystem, put forward the overall project of the system according to the performance of thecontrol system. In order to make the project come true, it has provided the electrical controlsystem with concrete realization project, it has analysed the principle of the transducer andoptical encoder, provided the selection way of them. Open-loop control is adopted in thelifting system of the machine. Closed-loop control is adopted in the control system ofworktable, the open-closed position is measured by optical encoder, PLC gets the feedback,which makes the open-closed system run slowly to improve the position precision, reduce theexploitation cost.This thesis has designed the software and hardware so as to control low order machinescene by programmable logic controller, It introduces the software design of PLC, includingthe main program, initialization program, open-closed outfit control system program, liltingcontrol system program, glass transmission control system program, correspondenceprocessing between up order machine and low order machine.
