Slide bearing is a key accessory of many machinery equipments such as motor starter, internal combustion engine, air compressor and so on. It's also easy to wear off, so the demand of slider bearing material is very large every year. How to improve the accessible performance of the slide bearing and how to develop a new type of slider bearing material becomes a hot investigative problem. This test took use of CNTs as reinforcement, prepared a new CNTs/Pb-base compound bearing material by the method of compound electrodeposition. In this test I also made a study of the prepared technology of CNTs/Pb-base composite coating and it's performance of friction and wear etc. and discussed the mechanism that how CNTs decrease the abrasion during abrading and rubbing.Used acid-treated and ball grinding to pretreat the CNTs, used SEM to analyze the morphology of CNTs. The result showed that the length of CNTs after acid-treated and ball grinding without phenomenal agglomerate. It's disperse ability is fairly good.Added different content of CNTs into ordinary Pb/Sn plating liquor to prepare CNTs/Pb-Sn composite coating. Discussed how the electric current density, content of CNTs, mixing speed influence the organism, thickness and hardness. Result showed that: the coating with best organism and behavior can be get when electric current density is 1~4A/dm2 and mixing speed is medium pace. The analyzing of the composition of the coating showed that: composite coating whose plating liquor has CNTs has the element of C in it, which indirectly denominated that CNTs has been cladded in the coating.Used the tiny load micro hardness instrument to test the hardness of the plat, the result showed that: the peak hardness of 15.5HV5g can be get when the amount of CNTs is about 2g/L. The hardness of the plat will gradually decrease when the amount of CNTs continuously increase. Used the SEM to analyze the facial appearance of the plat, it shows that: the organism of the coating is fine and close, almost without any micro crackles, the thinning degree of the grain of the surface is apparent.Tested the friction and wearing ability of the composite coating on the facial performance test instrument and friction and wear test machine. The result showed that the friction and wearing performance of CNTs/Pb-Sn composite coating is presently better than that of ordinary Pb-Sn coating. the minimal coefficient of friction will get when the amount of CNTs is about 2g/L, The amount of friction and coefficient of friction will increase when the amount of CNTs increase continuously. This indicated that properly amount of the CNTs uniform distributed in the composite coating can produce a result of reinforcement, increase the wear resistance of the plat. Besides that, because the CNTs has self-lubricity, it can also decrease the friction when abrading and rubbing.
