As a valuable fresh water resource, the study of urban rain-water utilization is booming in home and overseas. It will become a new study focus of urbanization and water resources sustained utilization, Because rainwater utilization can refill groundwater, recover the urban hydrologic cycle, improve ecological environment and save water. The study of rainwater infiltration utilization in northern China is more than that in southern China at present, for example in Beijing, Xian. Furthermore, urban road runoff is typically low in biochemical oxygen demand and high in suspended solids when it compare to municipal wastewater. Its usage will touch upon road design, environment pollution control, urban hydrology etc. concave-down green space area has different effect of purification and infiltration in different cities, earth, groundwater level and climate.From the above we know that these are a lot of defect exist in water infiltration utilization yet. In order to perfect the techniques of rainwater infiltration in China, this paper choose Kunming that is badly lack of water and waterlog to study the rainwater infiltration utilization. The research Content consists of two main parts, the first part is the urban road runoff characteristic test and the second part is the effect of retaining and Infiltrating urban road runoff by Concave-down Green Space Area.It draw the following conclusions:â‘ The characteristic of urban road runoff and stable infiltration of concave-down green space area of Kunming are similar to the others domestic cities.â‘¡The surface soil of concave-down green space has effect of removing pollution of road runoff.â‘¢When road runoff area is times of concave-down green space area, the concave-down green space still has efficiency to retain urban road runoff.â‘£It also show that concave-down green space area has a widely applicability and efficiency in northern and southern cities of China.
