Urban road is the framework of city, which is closely related to the political, economic, business, culture of city and people’s lives. It is not only lifeblood of the city, but also the core of the city image and urban landscape. Today’s urban road has entered the stage which from the engineering design that satisfy the pure transport function to a new stage set of urban transportation, landscape leisure, ecological and environmental protection as one of the multi-functional urban road construction. Water is the source of life, is an important natural resource for human survival and development. However, with the continuous improvement of the urbanization level, the economics of city grow quickly. The scarcity of water resources, protection of the water environment, urban flood control and drainage issues have become increasingly prominent The use of urban rainwater will be one of the effective ways to solve the problem of urban water resources. In this paper, author used the urban road as a starting point and combined with the use of urban rainwater to discuss the landscape design of urban road which based on the use of urban rainwater. Expect to provide an ecological, efficient and aesthetics application mode of urban road construction for our country. The author used the urban rainwater resource utilization of facilities on the urban road as the object of study and combined with the study and actual cases at home and abroad which about the rainwater utilization of urban road. The author analyzed the problem on our country’s situation of urban road drainage and the urban rainwater resource utilization of facilities, especially on the landscape of the urban rainwater resource utilization of facilities which is ignored widely by people and discussed how to solve these problems. Further, proposed the mode of urban road landscape design which is based on the landscape of the urban rainwater resource utilization of facilities. Finally, analyzed and summarized the planning strategy of the landscape urban infrastructure. There are six parts in this paper. The first part is introduction which mainly expounded the background, related concepts, research contents and methods, in addition raise the problems based on the research contents. The second part reviews the study at home and abroad which about the rainwater utilization of urban road moreover discusses the significance and feasibility of the use of urban rainwater. Preliminary view that depends on the modern landscape architecture, combines with the use of urban rainwater to the landscape design of urban road will be the most effective way to create the sustainable development city and the landscape design of urban road with resource conservation and beautiful environment. The third part from the start of the urban road and the landscape design of urban road, analyses the characteristic, classification, landscape design elements and landscape design basis theoretical of the urban road. The fourth part detailed analyses the situation of today’s rainwater utilization of urban road and according to different functions to makes a classification about the rainwater utilization of urban road and each facility were analyzed and summarized. Finally, concludes that the rainwater resources to use the facilities of city roads. The fifth part analyses the landscape approach of rainwater resource utilization facilities in the urban road. Analysis respectively in tow way, rainwater resource utilization features of facilities and how to combine with urban road landscape elements. Proposes the urban road infrastructure mode of rainwater resource utilization of facilities combines with the road landscape. The final analysis summarizes the landscape planning strategies for urban infrastructure. The sixth part is analysis of specific cases, and summarized to full text.
