The wind-resistant analysis and the control of wind-induced vibration of high-rise building is a branch of civil engineering. For framed tube skyscraper subjected to wind force, the static and dynamic analysis using finite element method is performed, and the structure pattern is optimized. The main work and achievements are summarized as follows:(1) For typical framed tube structure subjected to wind force, the static and dynamic analysis is performed by finite element method and simplified theoretical method, respectively. The simplified theoretical method is usually used in initial design. The example shows that the displacement of simplified method is similar to that of finite element method. The stress field could be gotten by finite element method more easily, so that it could be used to check the strength and stiffness of the structure.(2) Probability analysis is performed for the structure in wind, and the random variable is the maximum velocity of the wind in a year. The safety factor is obtained in this analysis.(3) The mode analysis and transient dynamic analysis is performed to understand the capability of the structure to resist the dynamic wind force. The results show that although the original structure satisfy the requirement in strength, stiffness and stability, the safety factor is small, and the attenuation of the wind-induced vibration is also very slow.(4) For improving the wind-resist performance, the X-shaped brace is added on the original structure to form a space structure. The results of new structure shows an improved performance in bending and torsion resistance. Further more, the attenuation of the wind-induced vibration is much faster, that would make the people in it more comfortable.(5) The lateral vibration caused by vortex shedding is analyzed. It is proved that the lateral resonance would not happen in the current structure. In conclusion, it is necessary of static and dynamic finite element analysis for the structure subjected to wind force, and it could be used to assure the strength, stiffness, stability and comfort of the skyscraper. The method presented here is helpful for structure designer to understand the wind-resist performance and design better high-rise structure.
