Frame structure with steel reinforced concrete special- shaped column is a new type of structure system which develops quickly in recent years. It gathers the advantage of the steel reinforced concrete structure and the reinforced concrete frame structure as a whole, resolving problem of protruded of the concrete frame construction room built by adopting rectangle columns and the super-high masonry construction. It takes on the advantage for high bearing capacity , good ductility , the excellent seismic behavior ,beauty and good applicability etc.The model of repealed ability of the structure is a important gist to analysis whole process under low cyclic loading on seismic structure . The ductility and energy dissipation ability of structure is a core problem of research on seismic behavior , a foundation that builds up repealed ability model of the structure. The relevant trial and the research on seismic behavior of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column are still seldom seen at home and abroad. This text I attempt to research it under Low- cyclic reversed horizontal loading Three steel reinforced concrete special- shaped columns and a common reinforced concrete special-shaped column have been designed and tested. Based on the experimental results, the mechanical behavior and the failure modes of specimens under Low- cyclic reversed horizontal loading have been depicted. The ductility, hysteresis ,consumption ability of the energy ,bearing capacity degradation ,stiffness degradation and destructive characteristic of steel reinforced concrete special- shaped column. By comparing it to the common reinforced concrete special- shaped column we can have some valuable conclusions. The results of the experiment and the calculation data indicate that the steel reinforced concrete special- shaped columns have a greater stiffness for anti- side displacement compared with the common reinforced concrete special- shaped columns ,in other words, its side-displacement is less than the common reinforced concrete special- shaped columns in the same loading; In Low- cyclic reversed horizontal loading the degradation rate for the ductility, stiffness and bearing capacity of steel reinforced concrete special- shaped columns is slow to the common reinforced concrete special- shaped columns .In strict defence area of the anti-earthquake to construct high-rise or big span building with the steel reinforced concrete special- shaped column structure system will be advantageous than the common reinforced concrete special- shaped columns frame structure for resisting the earthquake.
