With the globalization of the market and the manufacture, the motorcycleindustry of our country has been confronted with strong competitions and rigorouschallenges on account of the insufficient competence of the independence innovationand development and the low-level technology. In the face of the general current ofthe economic globalization and the new market environment after affiliating the WTO,it is necessary to grasp the development trend of the motorcycle technology, continueto develop new products and improve the product quality to satisfy the diversifiedneeds of the market. The application of virtual prototype technology to develop theproducts of motorcycle is an effective way to increase the abilities of technologyinnovation and development on our own technology through using the experience forreference, assimilating and absorbing the foreign advanced manufacture technology.Virtual Prototype technology is used to analyze the overall performance ofproducts, it's a new technology used to resolve the defects of traditional design andmanufacture process. In this technology, the engineers may directly use the softwareto obtain the virtual Prototype model on the computer. The system movement can bereally simulated in hypothesized environment used by system simulation software,and then the users carry on the simulation analysis to it under each kind of movementand the stress situation, observe and test the mutual movement situation and the stresssituation of component, analyze various kinds of design proposal quickly, carry on theexperiment which is difficult or unable to be carried on to the physical prototype,until obtain the most superior design proposal. The application of Virtual Prototypetechnology is not only reduces the development time, but also enhances the designquality and efficiency.This paper is based on three-dimensional modeling software to establish thedigital model of motor virtual Prototype, and expound on the design workflow andthe key technology of Motorcycle Virtual Prototype. How to establish model usingthe parameterization design method by UG and ADAMS. Relying on Multi_bodyDynamics theory, applying ADAMS software, in view of motorcycle's vibration characteristic, established the road spectrum of motorcycle's Virtual Prototype oncomputer. Analyze the characteristics of vibration of motorcycle, discuss the infectionof some parameters related to vibration, and put forward the advice of improvement.This paper builded up the virtual-motor-prototype via different methods andcompared the results of those different models. When virtual prototype built forharshness and normal eigenmodes experiment, there is no obvious different amountthose prototypes. Therefore, it's likely to make use of the rigid model instead of theflex model for predigesting modeling and calculation. The result of this paperindicated that multi-rigid-body virtual prototype is a reasonable design method forcurrent Chinese motor factory.
