Local Landscape Architecture Design

With the speeding-up process of the integration of world economy nowadays, and with the enlarged intercommunion in different fileds among the information, the culture, the science and the technology, the local landscape in different area which once was more featured and more distinguishing disappear gradually now, the landscape architecture of the world meets with the phenomenons of the convergence and the homogenization. And lots of problems are brought out with it. So a critical problem about how the contemporary landscape architecture can come into being comes out, with the background of globalization and modern civilization.In this paper, the study mainly focuses on the things as follows:1. Starting with the researches on the same phenomenons of the landscape architecture which happen in different area, an in-depth analysis on the causes and root of these phenomenons is made.2. An introduction and analysis on the correlative concept of the local landscape architecture design.3. Combining with some splendid examples in Nanjing, the paper discusses with the important effect of the basic design elements in human culture, history, terrain, water, climate, plants and architectures for the local landscape architectural design.4. Examples are given for discussing the design methods in the design expression of reappearance and abstract, in the design skill of contact and confluence, in the means of metaphor and symbolization, and in the exertion of zoology and Digital. In these examples the locality in landscape architecture design is expressed better, and all these design methods are really essential to the local landscape architectural design.5. Before designing, the material used should be selected reasonably; the technique should be attainably managed. And than by learning new concept from other areas and regions, the local landscape architectural design can do much better to avoid the problems of the localism, and can deal with the design better.6. By looking back of the local landscape architectural design before in Nanjing and nowadays, the author do the analysis of the status quo, which it has attained many achievements but also has some problems now. Basing on these, the author provides reference for appraising and designing the excellently local landscape architecture of Nanjing in the future.
