In recent years, under the strong promotion of the national rural revitalization policy and the construction of beautiful villages in various places, the development of rural tourism has ushered in new opportunities. However,in the process of tourism rural construction, scholars generally focus on the reconstruction of rural buildings and infrastructure, ignoring the construction of plant landscape and blindly following the examples of urban greening design, which not only causes the loss of "rurality",but also highlights the two problems of "urbanization" and "making parks",making the design of tourism-oriented rural plant landscape face new challenges. In addition, these problems will restrict the development of rural tourism and prevent further construction of beautiful countrysides. Therefore,it is urgently needed to study the tourism-oriented rural plant landscape.Currently, there are very little research on this aspect and it is lack of a perfect design system. As a result,a systematical study of the design of tourism-oriented rural plant landscape is of important significance to future related constructions.Above all, through literature collection,it analyzes and defines related concepts, reviews related domestic and foreign research, clarifies the starting point of this paper, summarizes related theories and concludes 5 kinds of plant landscape space and 7 kinds of function space of tourism villages.Secondly,it selects three types of six typical type tourism villages of Jiangning District of Nanjing City as the research object. Then,it summarizes and analyzes the plant species and plant distributions in the 6 villages in detail through field investigation and questionnaire interview, summing up 12 kinds of tourism country plant configuration modes.Combining with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),it constructs the evaluation system of tourism-oriented rural plant landscape design and analyzes the common characteristics and shortcomings of different types of tourism villages in plant landscape construction.Lastly, based on the above research and evaluation results,it constructs a design system of tourism-oriented rural plant landscape from the two aspects of overall design and specific design. At the level of macro overall design,it not only carries out the design orientation, landscape structure design and functional division according to local conditions, but also proposes five design principles of natural ecology, local economy, artistic aesthetics, respecting for culture and sharing experience. At the micro level of specific design,it makes explanations successively from four aspects of tree species selection, configuration optimization, space creation and experience improvement and carries out multi-level landscape designs to extract a universal tourism-oriented rural plant landscape design method.Besides,by applying the proposed theory,it carries out an empirical study on Huanglongxian in Jiangning District of Nanjing city to verify the scientific nature, rationality and maneuverability of the proposed tourism rural plant landscape design system. From theory research to field investigation, from constructing the design system to carrying out practice, this paper systematically explores and thinks about the present tourism-oriented rural plant landscape design, aiming to summarize an effective way with rural characteristics to improve the villagers’ living quality, increase the tourism attraction, drive the development of rural economy and promote the common prosperity of rural farmers. It is hoped to provide some guidance for the current research work of tourism-oriented rural plant landscape design and jointly assist the green, healthy and sustainable development of rural areas.
