More and more marine engines are built in China, as well as shipping building quickly was developing. Therefore, more turbocharger matching would be carried out in China engine builder.The thesis introduces and reseaches simulation of the engine performance by software.Firstly, one model was designed as standard model, and all parameters were carefully adjusted to obtain calculation result, which can meet actual engine running data.Secondly, parameter was changed also as well as actual variation parts were changed on the engine, then, one model was easy modified into another model. After re-calculation of new model, result was positive also. Some positive conclusion was obtained from comparision between simulation result difference and actual running data difference after one parameter was changed.Possibility of calculation of part load was discussed also, found calculation result was closed to actual operation line.Some discussions and conclusions have been made after analyisis.Existing model was very easy to be transferred to apply on same series engine but with different cylinder quantity.It could be concluded, studied software can be practically applied on middle speed genset engine, and it is helpful in future actaual application.
