Research on airflow field in car cabin is a brand-new domain of automotive aerodynamics. With rapid development of automobile industry, the demand of people to indoor comfort is also higher and higher, and that the influence of the distribution of airflow field and temperature field in car cabin to human body comfort is very big. In addition, the interior space of automobile is narrow and limited, its structure is complicated, the contamination inside automobile may produce very big damage to human health, the influence of indoor air quality of automobile (IAQA) to diver and passenger is very big. Staying inside poor environment of automobile for long time, it is extremely easy for people to produce symptoms such as dizziness, sense of suppression in the chest, it may produce damage to people's skin and respiratory system, it is especially easy for divers to lead to be absent-minded, and not to concentrate attention, that increases possibility of road accident. This thesis researches the airflow field in car cabin and the appraisement of indoor air quality of automobile.This thesis is based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and a there-dimensional model of car is set up with a simplified compartment, RNG k ?εturbulent model and grid divided according to regions. In this way, a complete mathematical description of car is available. The air current distribution in car cabin is compared and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively about different air supply parameters, such as velocity, temperature, distribution angle, number of air vents and number of passengers. With commercial software ANSYS CFX as the operational platform, the numerical results of the velocity field as well as temperature field are obtained, and the velocity field as well as temperature field of the fifteen cases is analyzed, the outcomes of the velocity field as well as temperature field from different cases and sections are obtained, this reveals the law of air supply parameters to airflow field in car cabin.This thesis analyses the characteristic of the pollution in car cabin, the source of the contamination and the damage to human health, by consulting the indoor air standard at home and abroad, the author combined the characteristic of the interior environment of automobile, brought forward the system of appraising indoor air quality of automobile first at home.This thesis summarizes the factor affecting indoor air quality of automobile, concludes the common appraisement method of indoor air quality of automobile, introduces the thought of gray system theory to the appraisement of indoor air quality of automobile, and calculates the degrees of gray incidence between the representative VOC contamination inside an Australia car with indoor air quality of automobile, by using the basic principle and calculation method of gray system incidence. In the same way, the degrees of gray incidence between the representative VOC contamination inside five new car and five old car with Indoor Air Quality Standard (GB/T 18883-2002) and the system of appraising indoor air quality of automobile.This paper carries out experiment research by making use of pGas2000 Multiple Sensor GAS Analyzer, by testing the indoor environment of common public transit vehicle, air-conditioning public transit vehicle, taxi and private car, revealed the effect law and characteristic of various contamination, pointed out direction and target to control the contamination of indoor automobile environment.
