| Taihu drainage area is divided into the Huxi region and the Wuchengxi region by the hypsography of the area. These two regions are bounded by the control line in the west of the Wuchengxi region and the ground elevation difference of the two regions is about two meters. In the "Taihu drainage area comprehensive treatment overall programming blue print", Huxi Discharge Project is ranked as one of the top 10 key projects of Taihu managements. Specifically, the Chang Zhou Xizha flood controlling project , which is located on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (commonly kNown as Sunan Canal) within the territory of Xizha town in Chang Zhou City, . is ranked as the key project of the Huxi Discharge Project.Whereas the Sunan Canal shipping is very busy, on October 30, 1999, the provincial government held a meeting for the Xizha project coordination, the rule of building the Xizha flood control project Gate was cleared and defined, which is "no steps, no blocking to shipping, stoppage of shipping during the devastating floods, reserving the location of ship gate for future using", and the construction of the regulator whose single-hole span is 60 meters in the condition of no intermitting shipping during construction was required.By comparing programs and eventual demonstration by the experts, the style of steel box floating gate structure was selected. The bank-wall for bearing the floating box steel gate on the two sides of the gate was the major force structure. The project needed to be kept on underwater constructing by no intermitting shipping, the level force of the bank-wall was larger and asymmetric load is effected against the wall. After the demonstration and comparison, reinforced concrete wall caisson structure was adopted and success is achieved.The thesis combinines engineering practice tightly. By integrating the associating literature and the data of model test results, from the selection of bank-wall structure type and basic assumption, with quantitative analysis as the main means, the thesis analyses and calculates the caisson bank-wall structure selection, caisson stability and structural internal forces systematically; aiming at the characteristic of underwater construction, the problems of caisson's structural detail were studied. The following are the main points :1. A brief introduction of the Huxi Discharge XingZha flood control project is given, which is concerning about the project's general situation, the background of design, the necessity of the construction, the condition for the project centrally running and the fundamental information for design.2. Conventional water-wall structure types and their applications are analyzed, necessary analysis is made about the caisson features and its scope of application. According to specific characteristics of the Changzhou the Xizha flood control project and the necessary analysis and appraisal are made for the bank-wall structure selection , testifying that the caisson bank-wall structure should be adopted.3.Detail design process of caisson-wall for t the Xizha flood control gates control project is given, including: design of the main structure, analysis and calculation of caisson stability and the internal force under the construction and other working conditions by using a two-dimensional theory.4. According to the characteristics of the project, which are underwater construction while no intermitting shipping and fundamental soil is powder sand, optimization and design of the structural details for the Xizha flood control projects are introduced, mainly including the design content of the protection of the sides of the caisson-wall by level copper water seal and connection style between the caisson and impermeable steel sheet peg under the soleplate of the gate. |
