The 21st century, our country higher education enterprise marches into thein-depth reform and the thrive development new ear, the higher education enterpriseunceasingly expands in the quantity and the scale, University campus construction isalso the climax of a nationwide campaign. Each university has in the campus scopewhich already had newly built or the extension, Some new school area set up in thecity peripheral establishment which the school expanded to meet the expansion needs.Faced with this kind of situation, Many universities have built teaching building ofthe Department of Architecture, or floor system has been converted to meet the morecomplex functional requirements.As a venue for teaching activities, teaching building of the Department ofArchitecture should serve as the function which implementing educational thinkingand providing the venues for teaching methods, and imperceptibly becomearchitectural students feel space and the environment is the most direct target. Basedon the background which our national architectural education course and theDepartment of Architecture teaching building design, it is of imperative that researchabout the Department of Architecture teaching building space design principles,methods and the development trend.This paper researches mainly from an architectural design perspective, based ona large number of pertinent literature reading and theory with practice to theDepartment of Architecture teaching building. The article summarized the maincontents of the following several sections:Firstly, it gives an introduction on the concePt and background of architectureeducation. And, it analyses the significance of researching on teaching building ofthe architecture department,and gives an outline on the academic study.The second part explains related theories used for architecture education historyand space. And analyzes development and evolution of the architecture educationspace through studying Chinese and foreign architecture of Education historicalheritage. The third part mainly summary the character of the architecture education andthe teaching building of the architecture department in universities; and analyse thefactor of design the teaching building.The forth to sixth parts adopt classification method, for instance and chart toanalysis and research on the design for teaching building, of the architecturedepartment of space form and space Organization and image design.The fifth part introduces new trends in the design for teaching building of thearchitecture department, which tends to be group structure, intelligence,Eco-development. And make a analysis and evaluation on the teaching buildingconversion program of Jiang Xi Normal University College of Urban ConstructionInstitute.
