China's educational architecture has evolved in three historical steps from ancientry to modern and contemporary. During such a long time, the forms of educational architecture have been greatly changed. Considering the various forms, the concept "type" can serve as some relative invariable for a survey of the changing space organization of educational architecture. Analysing the forms of the typical buildings in each period, the work presented the basic types of space organizing and the illustration of evolvements. Then the profound meaning of type was interpreted by analyzing the communion between people, which acted on the space organization through the design of circulation, natural light and line of sight. It was concluded that China's college educational architecture have been changing from "close space sequence" to "static space unit" and "floating space segment" and to "open space network". Finaly the arthor indicated the developing trend of contemporary educational architecture in a tentative way.
