Red blood cell (RBC) has a strong capability of deformability in flow field, the deformability of it is one of important blood rheology indexes. Besides, it has important pathology and physiological meanings. Therefore, the study of RBC deformability is one of the most important study fields of cell rheology. With the development of cell rheology, the present methods of RBC deformability measurement can not satisfy the requirement of cell rheology study. Just under this background, the author studied a new technology of silicon microchannel array, and present it a measurement for RBC deformability.Also,the technology achieved partially production after our groups'hard work.The author studied and did some amelioration aim at the problems in the old measurement system.Firstly, the author did the flow emluator analysis for the chip by the Microfluidics module of the CoventorWare. In other to compare the differences between the microchannel and human microcirculation. Meanwhile, the author mend the chip's design using the technology of silicon bonding, and machining it successfully in the NO.24 Research Institute of CETC.Secondly, the flow system was anew designed and processed in material of glass. The integration of the flow way enhances the tightness of the flow way so that it could solve the hermetic problems brings by the negative press driver used by the system before.Thirdly, the author simplified the circuit of the system and designed a automatic data capturing system.Fourthly, the author programmed the software of the measurement system so that it could protract the flux- filtrate volume curve of RBC suspension automatically by computer.Lastly, the author anew designed the observation ,that do good to collect better image information.Also, the dissertation validate the new measurement system for its repetition and reliability through the pertinency experiment. The experimental data and results prove the improved measurement system is better than it before. This work will push the development of this new RBC deformability measurement method. And we also drew a conclusion that this new method is an economical, convenient, accurate, multi-information and effective method on hemorheology research as well as clinics. The study also makes the foundation for the further development of the new method.
