With the fast development of the national economies and the city scale of our country, the low efficiency problem of transportation in the city is increasingly outstanding. For alleviating the transportation pressure that city face, changing the heavy traffic and low efficiency problem, the city highway tunnel is a kind of new city road transportation method, have already appeared in a lot of big and medium-sized cities in our country. It has many advantages such as it covers little, doesn't break the ground view, need not circumvent the city barriers and shortens the mileage. The city highway tunnel makes the city road transportation become the stereoscopic transportation mode, removing the mutual infection between the car flow and pedestrian flow at crossroads, reducing the interference of the car flow and taking up less time and making the transportation flow can pass quickly. Currently, quite a few city highway tunnels has already served for many years, more or less, appear some potential safety hazards. They are close to link the main trunk highway of the city transportation, having a great deal of pedestrians and vehicles to pass everyday. Existing a great deal of indeterminative risk factors in operation process, once the accidents occur, the loss result in and influence will be very huge. Therefore, the research on Identity in the accidents and risks of the city highway tunnels in active service has very important meaning.The first, it made a detailed introduction on the main diseases types of the main body structure and operating system, including the water harm, lining rhegma, lining corruption, frozen damage, earthquake damage, fire, bad aeration, bad illumination and so on, analyzing their causes of formation and jeopardizes. At the same time, the text made a detailed introduction on the types and the causes of the highway tunnel accidents, the time, the section of a highway and the vehicles which are accident-prone, pointing out that the tunnel diseases are the main causes of the city highway tunnels accidents.The second, it introduced some main methods in common use as follows: check list method, Work Breakdown Structure, Common sense and experience judgment, Application of Scenarios Analysis , Delphi method, Flow Charts and Fault Tree Analysis.
