With the development of microprocessor relay protection for power system, some new principle and project that can improve the efficiency of the relay protection have been applied in practice, they put forward higher requirement for the design of microprocessor relay protection. At present, the CPU of most microprocessor-based protection device is 16 bit Single Chip Micyoco, because of the slow speed in operation, it is difficult to realize the complex algorithm and higher sampling rate for it. And traditional flow chart linearity programme is adopted in most microprocessor relay protection device currently, which makes some problems such as being difficult to maintain and upgrade, etc. Recently, embedded technology develops rapidly, it provides a good opportunity for microprocessor relay protection's development, so it is a new direction to develop more strongly functional and more steady microprocessor relay protector adopting these new technology.The paper explores the technology renovation of microprocessor relay protection device, which adopts new hardware and embedded real-time operating system; the hardware system adopts 32 bit microprocessor AT91RM9200 produced by ATMEL company; software platform is based on cost-free and strongly functional embedded operating systemμC/OS-II; the paper repotsμC/OS-II to AT91RM9200, and develops microprocessor-based protection application software based onμC/OS-II. The preliminary running effect of the system shows that it is successful in design. The project has such innovative points as following:①Microprocessor relay protection device adopts new hardware platform, which is based on AT91RM9200, and it is rich in interfaces;②The paper improves the stack space of task, and it enhances the performance ofμC/OS-II;③The paper brings forward a new thought for the software development of Microprocessor-based protection which is based on embedded operating systemμC/OS-II.The chapter arrangement of this paper is as follows: chapter 1 simply describes the development process of microprocessor relay protection and research meaning, then make a comparison research between traditional microprocessor relay protection and microprocessor relay protection based on RTOS, finally it describes the content of this research; chapter 2 improves the task stack space ofμC/OS-II based on the research ofμC/OS-II's kernel; chapter 3 designs the object hardware system based on AT91RM9200 kernel; chapter 4 explores how to repotμC/OS-II to object hardware, then describes the realization of TCP/IP protocol inμC/OS-II, at the end of this chapter, it makes a sytem test; chapter 5 researches the design scheme of microprocessor relay protection based onμC/OS-II, then describes the design of application program module, at last, it discusses the protection principle and algorithm; chapter 6 makes a conclusion of the paper and brings forward the continued research work in future.
