Electrodeposition method for repair of concrete cracks is a new technique appearing in recent years, which is specially used for repair of those concrete structure with cracks while other traditional repair systems are inefficient or very expensive. In Japan and America, researches were primarily investigated on the feasibility of electrodeposition method for repair of concrete cracks on land and partial properties of concrete with shrinkage cracks which have been repaired with this technique. In our country, researchers worked on the parameter effect on electrodeposition properties. However, the actuality was that electrodeposition technique were mostly for repair of concrete cracks on land, but lots of structures concrete cracks under marine environment have to be repaired, this article is on the investigation that electrodeposition method repairs concrete cracks under marine environment based on production of precursors,.1. Seawater from Ning-bo Beilun Port and solution of zinc sulfate, of which electrodeposition effects were best according previous production, were selected as the solution of electrodeposition for the first time in the world, to find differentials of electrodeposition properties between the two solution.2. Equipment of experiment was improved, setting of measurement were designed, as well as assessable parameters of electrodeposition properties were selected. After electrodeposition, rate of surface coating, rate of gain, rate of crack closure and filling depth of crack of the mortar in seawater and solution of zinc sulfate were evaluated. After that, subjects were studied including infiltrator parameter and microstructure configuration melioration of the mortar, removing from the chlorine ion, chemistry composition and appearance of electrodeposits, adhering intensity between electrodeposits and mortar or concrete surface and the wall of crack. Results show that when seawater and solution of zinc sulfate are used, surface and microstructure configuration of mortar and concrete are improved, and crack are closed, chlorine ions are removed; electrodeposits are compact, electrodeposition effects are excellent through electrodeposition.3.By analyzing differentials of electrodeposition effects of concretes and mortar in seawater and solution of zinc sulfate, it is showed that, electrodeposition is feasible to recover the crack concrete when seawater is used to the solution.In a word, a simulation that seawater is selected as the solution of electrodeposition to recover under seawater concrete structure was presented, which lays a foundation for the application of electrodeposition to recover the crack of under marine environment concrete structure. The results not only suffice the requirement but also make a progress of repairing technology for concrete cracks under marine environment.
