In order to simulate the working environment of the equipment more accurately, Multi-shaker Test Method is becoming a crucial technique in the vibration environmental testing. So, many kind of vibration testing systems using multiple shakers are being developed. Based on multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) linear system theory, this thesis presents the control algorithm , theoretical analysis and testing research on the MIMO sinusoidal vibration test control system.Firstly, the recent developments in this field are reviewed. A control scheme with cross-coupling compensator about the MIMO sinusoidal vibration control system is put forward. Using multiplicative output uncertainties to describe model errors, a formula is derived which describes the evolution of the tracking error during the iterative process. The convergence of the off-line control scheme is analyzed in theory.Secondly, the control algorithm is simulated by MATLAB to verify its effectiveness and reliability. This is the foundation for the next step research. Then, the control system including software & hardware is designed for the MIMO sinusoidal vibration test. The control software is programmed by LabVIEW and the driving signals and response signals are generated and sampled by VXI bus module. The amplitudes and phases in the multiple channels can be controlled for the reference specifications. The data of the signals can be dynamically displayed and stored as demands. Finally,A great deal of experiments is completed using the developed system for dual-shaker sinusoidal vibration tests on a cantilever beam. The control results are satisfied.
