Study On The Noise Of Air Refueling Set

Air refueling is an effective method to increase the cruise range and the time of hanging in the air. It has almost become the integrant technique which modern fighter planes must have. The noise of fixed refueling set disturbs the pilot's wireless communication badly and influences their attention when fighting and training. So,the forecast and control of the refueling set's noise is very important to the study and amelioration of the refueling set.The experimental study, which survey the data of the 1:5 and 1:2 shrinks compared to refueling set model when the number of Ma is 0.15 to 0.5 by using the small acoustics wind tunnel in the dead room, indicate that:1. Speed double, the sound pressure level of the model noise increases approximately 18dB, namely the sound pressure and the speed cubic have the direct ratio, this indicated the refueling device noise source mainly is the dipole;.2. Relative to the wing struts, the refueling set sound pressure level with the column strut under various Mach was enhanced approximately 8dB. It is because the wing section can reduce the breakaway and pulsation. At the same time it indicated the change of the strut shape is important to control the refueling device noise;3. According to the literature, Reynolds number in identical magnitude, the oscillation amplitude is approximate same, outside the institute at the same time the configuration, the sound power level of the dipole source should have a direct ratio with its area. From this, the refueling plug noise project forecast formula was promoted .The real model noise level curve calculated tallies the actual flight noise data obtained from the literature.Moreover, this paper describes the noise source of liquid dynamical ,discusses the type of the refueling set's noise source on sub-velocity of sound, gives the model of the idealization noise source of the fixed refueling plugs and refueling strut and computes the refueling strut noise by using the Fluent software .The computation result is consistent with the experiment result.
