Research has showed that electromagnetic catapult and its related technologies canbring better characteristics than traditional chemical weapon.With the development of power impulse technology, impulse magnetic, newmaterial, high energy engineer technology and relative technology, the newachievement of magnetic catapult provides a new possibility.And now, there are tow kinds of experiment models, namely, cross stranded coilcatapult and solenoid based catapult. However, the related research is still at abeginning level, theory research and test equipments are not good enough forexperiments. Under this situation, software simulation is necessary for gettingreference data to improve experiment model.This paper use the cross stranded coil catapult equipment as a model, simulatethe coils and catapult objects with 2-dimention and 3-dimention models by softwareAnsys. This paper focus on the distribution of magnetic field and forces on the coilsand catapult objects considering coil numbers, time, the shape of coil cross.This paper established 2-dimention model for stranded coil, flux distribution andmag force data got; put forward a modify opinion after the comparing of coils withdifferent sections; 3-dimention model for stranded coil, flux distribution and magforce data got; 3-dimention model for catapult coil model, flux distribution andmag force data got; and by comparing the experiment result and simulation results,put forward a reasonable reference model.
