The CTA gun is a kind of gun using newly launch principium. This thesis contains both experiments and theoretical studies about CTA gun. The main points are as follows:The professional literature and information about the CTA gun are searched and collected.On the basis of analyzing the launch processes of CTA gun, the concept of twice ignition & serial combustion is used. The charge structure of CTA is designed for 35mm ballistic test gun, and the experiments about interior ballistic performance of CTA are developed on different powder chambers. To the rotating chamber structure, plastic cases are designed with three kinds of plastic material, and the relevant experiments have done some elementary study of the engineering application of CTA gun.According to experimental results of CTA and the classical interior ballistic theory, the interior ballistic models of CTA are established, and the differential equations and solve conditions are also given. The software of numerical simulation is developed by using Runge-Kutta scheme and C++ language to write and debug the programming code. Using the software, the influence of different parameters on the interior ballistic performance are studied.The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.Using the calculational software, the interior ballistic performance of 105mm CTA gun is predicted. The referenced data of pressure and velocity can be used to guide the design of the charge and the powder chamber structure of 105mm CTA gun.
