Tire is an important part of vehicle, the main function of tire is bearing the weight of vehicle, and transmits braking, driving and turning forces to the vehicle, and shock absorption. The performance of tire has closely relationship with the safety and maneuverability of vehicle.Because of dynamical lubrication of water hydroplaning will be happened when vehicle running in wet road at a high speed. It's very dangerous. Roughness of road and tread, speed of vehicle, tire tread pattern are all contributed to the ability of anti-hydroplaning of tire. On the other hand, the research of rolling performance of tire is a basic work of the research of rolling dissipation. It's also important to save energy and environment protection. The effects of tire tread pattern on adhesion performance on wet road and rolling performance of tire are studied. The viscous hydroplaning of tread is modeled and analyzed; the model is based on average flow model that takes the squeeze action, hydrodynamic action and surface roughness of road into consideration. The effect of drainage of tire tread pattern is also taken into account. Through mathematical analysis, the effects of different tire tread patterns are compared. Pressure distribution of tire tread unit is analyzed in depth. The results show that adhesion performance of cross pattern tire tread is better than other tire tread patterns analyzed in this article. The results provide theoretical foundation for the design of anti-hydroplaning tire tread. In the study of rolling performance of tire, a three-dimension finite element model of radial tire is successfully developed through Marc. Boundary condition problem is also successfully solved. Performance of radial tire in static loading, steady rolling and free rolling are simulated based on this model. Some information of rolling resistance is also introduced for the further study on rolling resistance.
