Under the background of the sixth speed updating of our contry railway,The West starts construction of new lines and reconstruction of exiting line for enhancing the carrying capacity of track. In this case, the density of wagon, the train running speed as well as the average load per freight train will be increased, the existing train control mode already can't satisify the need of speeding up, the reasonable train control mode be imminent. On the other hand, In our country the phenomenon of passager and freight and passager trains share the same line will be existing for a long time, the reasonable choice of the signal system will decide the wasted distance when passager and freight and passager trains share the same line, following the completion of construction of new line and eletric updating of line,the problem on how to define the section length become more important than before.As a result,selects the reasonable signal system and determine a series of appears with it match target computation system become more and more urgently.In view of our country mountain railway's characteristic, take the security-efficiency as the principle, take the optimized theory and the system theory as the elementary theory method, take reduce headway time, increase the carrying capacity of track as the final goal, Through fullly considerate mountainous railroad actual situation, This paper determine velocity stepped control mode curve signal system to be resonable signal sysytem that suit our country mountain railway. Take traction calculation treory as the elementary theory, the model of passager and freight and passager trains share the same line is established. It has realized reasonable division of section. Under the reasonable section length is determined, A way that reduce headway time and increase line capacity is found by analysis and caculate its influence factors.In addition, considered the advanced of speed updating,a reservation plan that determine aim-interval control mode curve signal system for the new turn engineering development needs while designing the mountain railway sigal system. In order to guarantee the reliability of the selected system, base on the man-machine engineering theory, risk frequency appraisal model, TSL (Time to Signal Limit) appraisal model and the driver margin of safety model and so on are constructed that can evaluate reliability of sigal system. Finally, Take Chengdu Bureau as a example, a series of data is obtained through caculate its headway time , it can also confirmed the accuracy of theory and the usability of system.
