Die bonder is a typical mechatronics equipment. It consists of exact mechanics structure, electric control system, temperature control system and photoelectricity detecting components, etc, which shows high synthesis and permeation of advanced discipline sufficiently. As the complication of system increasingly, traditional modeling and simulation tools that used to solve single domain problems will not be competent in the future. In order to cut down the workload and improve the quality of simulation, this thesis is mainly concerned with achieving efficient modeling and simulation of the die bonder.For the efficient modeling, die bonder system must be disassembled and reusable component models need to be set up. Through covers a survey of different methods for representation of simulation models, the first main part of this thesis choose an object oriented modeling language Modelica as development tool. In this thesis, according to the theory and the method of modular modeling, die bonder is divided into modules by its physical structure. Based on that, module library will have the characteristics of typification, independence, commonality and easy connectivity, and models can be simulated in the same simulation system.In order to achieve mutual simulation of die bonder, it is important to build up the module library based on Modelica. With analysis of multidomain physical mechanism, the following component models are established in this thesis.1.According to the research of welding head's working principle and plane linkage mechanism's modeling method, a new way to set up welding head mechanism model by using the components in Multibody library is presented. Simulation results show that the new method is intuitionistic and efficient which can be used to set up other mechanism models.2.Based on the depiction of two phases step motor's mathematics model, an equivalent circuit is educed by its circuit model, then the step motor model is set up and a model of motor driver is also developed. Simulation results of step motor system indicate that the models are correct and reasonable.3. Based on the characteristic equation of heating stove and equivalent transform theory of transfer function, this thesis establish the heating stove model by connecting a time-lapse module and a inertial module. Temperature of stove is controlled by PID arithmetic, and a PID controller model is established. By validating of simulation, models are correct and reliable.In the end, in order to confirm the feasibility of multidomain modeling and simulation of die bonder, a motor-welding head model is established based on the module library. Simulation results indicate that mutual simulation can reflect system's working situation better, and results are more accurate and credible.
