This paper is mainly introduced to design a data acquisition system of portableX-ray fluorescence analysis instrument which uses Niosâ…¡as the processor, based onFPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), including the hardware design of dataacquisition system and the software design of data acquisition system. The hardwaredesign introduced the work principle of peak detector electric circuit, ADC, FLASH,SDRAM, and selection and design of the RS-232 port. System software design of Thedata acquisitions mainly introduced the SOPC plan determination, design of interfaceelectric circuit and design of the software and so on. The system test result is given,including linear of data acquisition system, stability of it and other technicalspecifications. Finally, the actual result of spectral line survey is produced In thearithmetic theory, tow approaches is attention. one is called full-description (cursory128 channels), the other is called part-description (refined 128 channels).Comparing with the domestic existing data acquisition system below, the paperhas the characteristic and the innovation:(1) use the FPGA low power loss chip.(2) use the SOPC technology, and cause the design to be compact andreasonable.(3) use the IP core technology, and cause the design to be simplification andliability.(4) use the soft core NIOSâ…¡processor, and make the design to be simpler andintelligence.(5) propose two methods of data processing.
