Supported by 863 plan, projectile automatic forming key technology is studied. The geometrical parameters measurement of high-temperature projectile is included in this research. In this paper the projectile temperature is very high, the surrounding is very bad, the traditional measuring method and various sensors is not adapt to such condition. So a new measuring principle of high-temperature projectile geometrical par- ameters is put forward. The measurement system is structured by hardware and software system. The hardware system consists of the mechanical system, motion and controlling system, data acquisition system. Based on the VB 6.0 programming designing language the special measurement software is developed. The software can control three directions(X, Z, and C) movement. The users can flexibly complete many measuring tasks. Finally, by use of laser displacement, controlled by computer, the data acquisition of internal and external surface geometrical information. The thickness inaccuracy and the errors of circle, cylindricity, and axiality will be obtained by adopting the least-squares procedure. Based on the optical, mechanical, electrical technology, this measuring system can effectively realize the projectile geometrical parameters measurement. The testing results can help to promptly find unqualified products, analyze the errors variation characteristics, obtain the reasons resulted in the errors, and gives technical support in projectiles production.
