From original mechanical launch technology to relatively advanced chemical launchtechnology, and then to excellent electromagnetic launch technology (EML), the development oflaunchtechnologyinvolvesthesethreestagesbasicallysofar.EMLhastakenlaunchscienceandtechnology into a new era. EMLhas the superiorities of high launch speed, high efficiency, goodperformance, good controllability and structure variety, compared to general launch technology. Therefore, it is significant and prospective that electromagnetic launch technology is applied onmilitary and civil fields in the future. In this paper, the theory of the asynchronous induction coillauncherisanalyzed.Computesimulationandexperimentresearcharealsorealized.Firstly, the principles of three basic types of EML launchers are introduced. Based on thecharacteristics of them, the asynchronous induction coil launcher is eventually selected. Then, based on the current filament method, the parameters influencing the launcher behavior arestudied and the design rules of the asynchronous induction coil launcher are given. Consideringthe theory analyse is not intuitionistic and the results are not precise, the finite element analysissoftware is used and the behavior of launcher is presented intuitively. The finite elementsimulationshowsthevalidityofanalyse. Finally, basedontheresultsoftheoryandsimulation, amodel of asynchronous induction coil launcher is built, and the frequency conversion circuitryused in experiment is designed. The launcher structure is simple and the operation is easy. Theexperiment data proves excellent performance of the launcher. These work provides valuableexperimentaldataandpracticalexperienceforthefurtherresearchofEML.
