In recent years, kinds of electronic control techniques and sub-controlsystems are greatly developed and widely applied to improve ride comfort and handling stability of vehicles. However, all these sub-control systems are aimed at improving one performance of a vehicle, but the improvement of the whole performances in a vehicle is still depended on the cooperative work between various sub-systems. Steering and suspension systems are two key systems in affecting body attitude and riding safety in automotive chasis systems. Based on this , the present thesis designed and developed the electric circuits and the software program of the electronic control unit of system, also carried out the bed test.First , the present thesis studied and developed the hardware that adopted ARM LPC2312 as its microprocessor. The control unit was able to realize real-time data/signal acquisition,translate and system control. The target current of motor output could be determined by the obtained data; and utilizing the Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) technology, system is controlled by controlling the output current and rotation directiontheSecond, suggestted an integrated control strategy of fuzzy/PD based on LMS algorithm. According to system's variation,adjusting modification parameter of fuzzy control system through LMS adaptive module,to track the real time control process. Simulation show that,the integrated control system improved handling stability,steering portability,riding performance,safety better,compared with adaptive suspension control system.Third, the software program, which was divided into the realization of control strategy and the acquisition,translate,control of data/signal, was developed in modular . Inclued the main program, A/D acquisition program, speed signal acquisition program charge acquisition program ,torsion acquisition program, current acquisition program and PWM control program. PD control arithmetic was studied .Circuit and software system was performed. The result showed that the circuit can control the system well. Controller was stable and valid,automotive riding performances were improved rightly, and made a step for further study of EPS and suspension integrated system.
