Visual Reality (VR) is more and more widely used as the development of computer technology. Virtual battlefield is a representative application of VR. It's trend in development of modern military technology. In peacetime, actual combats are infrequent. There are limits of manpower and material resources to carry out maneuvers. So virtual battlefield based on VR is most important in training of battle strategy and tactic in modern combat. As an accurate and big execution weapon, missile plays an irreplaceable part in modern combat. Missile is non-reusable and destructive. Computer simulation can reduce research cost and increase efficiency. Moreover computer simulation of missile is an indispensable part in virtual modern battlefield. At present, many domestic scholars have done widely researches on computer simulation of missile. But most researches in VR of missile are attacks of static target or target with simple motion such as tanks. This thesis use Simulink to calculate missiles'trajectory, use Vega to deal with the VR of the missiles'flight. This method has some innovation and valuable in computer simulation of missile. The main work of this thesis is summarized as follows:Firstly, based on the equations of missile's dynamics and kinematics, we build a Simulink model of the missiles'attack and defense and run the simulation. We obtain the attack and defense missiles'trajectories in two situations that the target missile with intercept controls and without anti-intercept controls.Secondly, missiles, plane and terrain models are created by MultiGen Creator. Then the solution of VR simulation of missile attack and defense is obtained based on the software Vega. The program with Visual C++6.0 in Windows XP is developed for the dynamic display of the scene and the missiles'positions and attitude angles from the data files created by Simulink, and to create special effects (missile trail, explode, sound effect and so on).
