Research On Tire Pressure Monitoring System Basing On The Tire Model

When a car is running at a high speed, tire blowout is one of the main reasons of the malignant traffic accidents. Running at a high speed for long hours under abnormal pressure, particularly low pressure, is the most primary cause of tire blowout. The key point of avoiding tire blowout is to keep normal pressure and detect the leakage of tire in time. Tire Pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is mainly used to monitor tire pressure when running and alarm the leakage and low pressure of tire, so it is a safeguard to drivers and passengers. Installing tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can prevent effectively a tire from running out of normal pressure for long hours, and increases the safety of automobile driving.The thesis first introduces the history, actuality and the future of TPMS, analysis the structure and work principle of existing WSB and PSB TPMS, and puts forward a method of TPMS based on tire model. The thesis introduced the theory and design of hardware and software in detail and designs a new TPMS choosing the C8051F005 single-chip as the control core.The TPMS of the thesis basing on tire model can monitor the change of tire pressure by the change of tire radius. It can monitor the state of every tire when the car is running, and it conquers the shortcoming of existing indirect TPMS that can not monitor the tire pressure when the tire pressure of coaxial-line or same side change in the same time. When the tire pressure is abnormal, it sends out sound and light alarm to remind the driver to do a reaction in time. It can prevent effectively the tire from blowing, and increases the safety of driving. The research of this system can promote the development of tire pressure monitoring technique and has a high value of applying, so it can bring the enormous profits of economy and society.
