Recently, alternating current excited wind generator (ACEG) is researched widely over the world, because it can generate normally in a range of sliding and get the maximum wind energy under the nominate wind. Besides, there are good prospects for it in wind-energy generation of variable speed constant frequency.In this thesis, to the structure and characteristics of wind-turbine, the operation principle of wind-turbine is analyzed with air-dynamics theory, additionally, the characteristics and operation principle of ACEG are analyzed. On the basis of the summary for the excitation-control strategy's excellent and shortcoming of ACEG, variable-PI and neural network excitation control strategy of ACEG is proposed in this thesis with the purpose of the independent regulating of the active and reactive power on the stator of ACEG and the maximum wind energy tracking. On the basis of this excitation strategy and the characteristics of alternating excited variable speed constant wind generation system., the model of variable speed constant frequency wind generation system including wind turbine, ACEG, alternating exciting electrical source is established with MATLAB simulation software. The dynamic adaptation performance and transient characteristics of ACEG system in wind-energy generation are simulated and analyzed. Additionally, the influence of the parameter variation of wind generation system on the dynamic and static performance of the system are studied. The simulation result indicates that the novel excitation control strategy proposed in this thesis improves greatly the steady and dynamic response performance of ACEG system in wind-energy generation, moreover, it also has good robustness and parameter adaptation, when the operation state of the wind generation system vary, it can improve the static and dynamic steady performance of wind generation system.The studies in this thesis will provide academic reference for an extent study for ACEG system in wind-energy generation.
