| The control system of aircraft engine may be failed because of sensor faults, so a system of sensor Faults Detection, Isolation and Accommodation(FDIA) is critical to ensuring reliable operation of engine control system.Using a bank of Kalman filters,an aircraft engine sensor fault diagnostics system is developed. The system can not only detect the single faulted sensor but also accommodate the faulted sensor's measure to ensure engine control system operation safety when the sensor fault happens.A universal simulation platform for aircraft engine sensor fault diagnostics is designed by using Simulink software. Simulations are performed on the platform to make sure the feasibility of the sensor failure diagnostics system. The factors which impact the performance of the fault diagnostics system are analyzed. Methods of reducing false alarms and missed detections are proposed.Based on the single sensor fault diagnostics system, an enhanced engine sensor fault diagnostics system is developed. Simulation results show that the enhanced sensor fault diagnostics system can accurately diagnose multiple sensor faults that happen at one time.In consideration of components'faults, an effective method, which could differentiate sensor and component fault, is developed on the basis of sensors fault diagnostics system. It can enhance the reliability of engine sensor fault diagnostics system, monitor aircraft engine's working status and diagnose component faults. |
