Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is a key equipment for modern advanced fighter aircraft. Its control system plays an essential role in guaranteeing the reliability of the whole aircraft Auxiliary power unit. Thus, the research on control system means significantly to the APU.The Full Authority Digital Electronic Contor system of APU is studied in the paper. Based on an analysis of structure configuration of APU, the functions and characteristics of its parts are analysed. According to the design principle of control system,the control scheme is expatiated. The structure and configuration of the system are designed and realized, including the hardware and the software of the digital electronic controller. The circuit principle and the structure of software are described in details. In order to develop the control system, APU system's mathematic model is carried out, including the non-linear model achieved by academic analyse and the linear model achieved by system distinguish technology. The techniques of simulation are studied, and the simulation system is constructed. The experiments of hardware-in-the-loop simulation and digital simulation are implemented to validate the feasibility of control schemes. Finally, the trial run experiment on the ground is carried out. The experimental results have proved the designed controller to be valid and efficient for APU.
