Urban public transportation is a very important part in traffic and transportation domain, and it's also the inevitable result of social economy's development in urban areas. As an important part of urban transportation system, Urban public transportation system acting an key role of contact human living, social production and transportation domain. In the tendency of economic globalization, developed or developing country, the public transport system of them is confronted with new challenges and problems of traffic blocking and service level decreasing. So, based on the circumstance and problem of urban public transportation, the effective and feasible measure of innovation on public transportation system must be adopted timely, it is the only way to develop public transportation in currency.Firstly, the research scale of the study was clarified and the normal transit system was analysis in the thesis. Then, the basic theory of the transit network evaluation was studied. The traffic stability theory is involved in the transit network evaluation model and a scientific evaluation system was set up which is helpful for transit planning and operating.Finally, the transit network evaluation method is explicated on the transit network of Huhhot. And the result shows the reasonability and the practicability of the evaluation model proposed in this thesis. Then an index calculating process was proposed using TransCAD and BGL (boost graph library), which can make the model easy to be used. Then, a fuzzy synthesis evaluation model based on AHP was set up.
