The structural topology optimization method is a newly developing innovative design method,and has achieved remarkable success. For the problem of topology optimization designs of automobile and their components, this paper summarizes and analyzes the present status and the development of the Evolutionary Structural Optimization method.In order to reduce the effect of the vibration on the structures, the researches of the three dimensional structural frequency optimizations are made in this paper. And a set of optimization sensitivity formula dealing with single frequency and the multi-frequencies are derived. A set of optimum criteria are set up,and new topology optimization procedure is given.In order to solve engineering actual problems, this paper proposes on a new three-dimensional structural topology optimization method considering structural static and frequency requirements, and gives the idea and the algorithm of the static and frequency topology optimization design. Based on the method, the simulation designs of the frame and automobile scaffold are made.A lot of simulation examples for structural optimization are given .The results obtained show that the proposed methods are correct and efficient, may become a important tool of automobile and their component designs with minimum weight requirements, and are of good engineering application value.
