The structural topology optimization method is a newly developing method and has achieved remarkable success. For the problem of dynamic optimization designs of automobile & mechanical structures, at first, this paper summarizes and analyzes the development of a so-called Evolutionary Structural Optimization method. Second, in order to deal with the dynamic control problem of structures with static and dynamic requirement in practical engineering, a set of response formula of structures with narrow band excitation and its sensitivity are proposed, and a new dynamic optimization criterion of structures with static and dynamic requirement, is given. Third, by use of deriving the dynamic response and its formula for the structure under wide-band random excitation, a new bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization criteria considering static loads and wide-band dynamic excitations, and its algorithm are researched. In order to solve some problems of the present three-dimensional structural topology optimization designs in theory and application, this paper makes researches and developments on a new three-dimensional structural topology optimization method and its algorithm with considering structural static and dynamic requirements. On the basis of this method, by using GID software, a set of new software of three-dimensional structural topology optimization is developed. Finally, combining the formula of frequency sensitivities, a combined structural topology optimization method and its procedure dealing with structural static and frequency requirements, has been proposed. In order to verity the correctness of the mentioned-above methods and their procedures, a lot of simulation examples for mechanical & automobile components is given. The results obtained show that the proposed methods are correct and efficient, may become a important design method and tool of automobile & mechanical structural designs and their components designs with minimum weight requirements, and are of good engineering application value.
