| Much emphasis has been put on the ecological and social benefit of urban greenspace as urban constructions of our country advanced rapidly and the living level ofcitizens lifted. Consequently, it has become a symbol of modern cities's civilization.Urban green space system, the sub-system of urban ecological system, is the key factor inconstructing ecological landscape garden city. Its development is related to urbaneconomical construction,the development of society and environmental protection, aswell as sustainable development of the whole city.In the work of urban parks' construction, constituting the develop index of types of urbangreen space scientificly and arrange spatial layout of kinds of parks' green spaceconstruction rationally are highlighted. Operators' Explicit acquaintanceship of greenspace of urban parks is demanded firstly, so that rationality of constructive can beheightened. Therefore, administrate urban green space digitally with advanced specialinformation technology(GIS, GPS, RS and so on) is crucial to the rationality of designand management of urban green space.GIS of wuhan's digital park, the main composition of digital wuhan, assembles 3Stechnology, great spacial database technology and technology of network and so on. Andit established special topic database of green space of wuhan's gardens and parks, realizesthe edition, investigation, analysis, renovation and administration of planting informationof urban gardens and parks in base of the data of basic spacial topographic map andspacial RS image database, so that it can assure that the investigation and calculation ofeach greening index can accomplish rationality, accuracy and swiftness. This paper iscomposed of five main components:The first part discusses the purpose, meaning and method of establish this system andthe frame of this paper.The second part introduces the location and basic structure of GIS of digital parks. Itexplains the three layers of the composition in logic.The third part elaborates functional design of system applying in seven aspects:browsing, inquiry and statistic of layers' information, data output, space analyse,classified management of users and data editing flowing control of daily data renovation.The fourth part expatiates technical routines and detailed implements of datacollection and inquiry. Database can be set up after the collected data be examined.The fifth part defines the application of GIS of digital parks in urban green spacesystem.This paper advocates new notion of the application of 3S technology in theconstruction of urban gardens and parks through putting the GIS of wuhan's digital parksinto practice. It can offer supervision for the constitution of wuhan's gardens and parks.
