As a modernization,large and multi-functional precision instrument, Coordinate Measuring Machine(CMM) has more and more shown its great importance and wide development prospect in industry. It has the advantages of strong versatility, accurate and reliable measurement and convenient data processing. It may adapt antomated manufacturing and flexible production assembly. But since long ago, the coordinate measuring machines continuously are in static the survey way, the survey efficiency are low. Modern manufacturing technology has put forward more exacting demand of speed and accuracy on CMMs.But the dynamic characteristic of CMM limited the increase of measuring speed.Its basic reason is the influence of dynamic error to the measuring accuracy. Therefore, it is need urgently to deep research the coordinate measuring machines precision test technology and the dynamic error conducts the thorough research.This paper research the coordinate measuring machines from its two aspects (static state and dynamic state). First, we studied the precision examination and the calibration technology of the coordinates measuring machine based on the static state, and with emphasis, we analyzed and evaluates the calibration uncertainty of the value error. Point -ed out that in order to increase the measuring accuracy, it is should be regularly carried on the examination and the calibration for it to be at the reasonable controlled condition. Next, the paper has analyzed main dynamic error source, and take this as the rationale, studied the influence of the gauge head system and the body structure to the measuring engine dynamic error.The purpose is that through the understanding the engine's characteristic and the precision under the dynamic condition, analyzes the influence of movement parameter, body parameter and the environmental factor to the CMM dynamic characteristic and the dynamic error, discusses error evaluation of static and dynamic state. Such,we will build the foundation for CMM to maintain the high accuracy under the high speed through error compensation.
