Reservoir's intake tower, as a sort of waterpower engineering, have complicated figure structure, boundary conditions and load situation. They generally have concrete thin wall and empty abdomen form, are built in the reservoir close to the bank and joined with the bank by working bridge on the top. Intake tower supports water pressure all around. so the tower's the safety of the earthquake is more important. In this paper, an intake tower of the discharge flood cavity in HalaQin Hohhot Inner Mongolia reservoir has been made a systematic and comprehensive analysis by using the three dimension finite element method. SAP84 is the China well-known large finite element software that owns powerful preprocessor and postprocessor function. The intake tower's finite element model has been built and dispersed. It can simulate the true transformation process about the tower's displacement and stress. This thesis introduces systematically current developing situation of hydraulic engineering and static-dynamic load analysis theory and FEA theory. Various types of load conditions specified the influent stress on the role and contribution of their boats'main and secondary status, would provide a reliable results for the engineering design. In this paper, I considered the above factors and applied different methods calculation. For in the dynamic area, I completed the dynamic properties analysis and analysis the tower in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction's the earthquake. Discussing the influence that the vibration characteristics of the intake tower. Finally giving the evaluation of the structure for its seismic performance, the responding problems of static dynamic load of structure are solved. Dynamic analysis and modal decomposition response spectrum method are used for dynamic analysis of the seismic calculation of the tower. The results conform to the reality and show that the stress and deformation of the tower simulation calculation is successful.
