Carbonate in China is distributing widely that all kinds of carbonate region is onethird of Chinese territory. With the Western exploitation and foundation facilitiesconstruction development in China, for improving the highway linetype standard,realizing the transportation high-speed, heavy-carry, building a large number of longand large cross highway tunnel in karsts region is inevitably. Therefore, the maingeology hazards, the construction mechanics principle, the excavation as well assupport methods, and observation information construction technique were importantand difficult problem in karsts region highway tunnel construction.The dissertation based on survey, design and construction problems in HAN POLING tunnel which is difficult to construct and has complex geology condition in thehighway of SHANG HAI to CHONG QING, discussing the key techniques ofobservation information construction from following aspects such as: the maingeology hazards, the construction mechanics principle, the excavation as well assupport methods base on New Austria Tunnel Methods, and observation informationconstruction technique in karsts region.Followings are main productions in this dissertation:(1) Geology hazards might be occurred in the process of tunnel construction in thekarsts region were summarized and analyzed based on referenced datum andengineering example. The principle and prevent measure of main geology hazards inkarsts region runnel construction were expatiated in the dissertation;(2) Viewed from Engineering Geology and Rock Mechanics, the destroymechanism and evaluation method of wall rock in large cross tunnel were concluded,the principle of rock-bolting and shot-creating in large cross tunnel were expatiated;(3) Supervise by New Austria Tunnel Method, considering the engineeringexample, the excavation and support method corresponding to different wall rockdistinction were discussed in the dissertation;(4) Well-knit the engineering example, the observation information constructionmethod were discussed from geology advanced prediction as well as the spot measurement aspects.The study on observation information construction method in karats region largecross tunnel not only has definite theory value, but also has practice meaning. Thecontents of the dissertation studied has definite consult value to reconnaissance,design, construction of large cross tunnel construction in karsts region.
