With the serious problem of harmonics pollution to the power system and the need of high performance of AC drive application ,three-phase PWM rectifiers have recently been an active research topic in power electronics due to more virtues, such as sinusoidal input currents, unity power factor , steady output voltage, good dynamics and bin-directional energy flow.Firstly,The thesis elaborated the basic principle of work for the PWM rectifier according to main circuit topology of three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier.Secondly, the thesis proposed the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier's control strategy. Based on the control strategy it has studied the space voltage vector pulse width modulation control method as well as designed PI regulator for the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier.Thirdly, the thesis has conducted the simulation research of the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier system, has established the simulation models of the main circuit, the space voltage vector PWM control module and PI regulator, and has carried on the simulation for the three-phase voltage PWM rectifier system.Finally, according to the entire three-phase voltage PWM rectifier system simulation, the article has carried on the hardware and the software design which based on the analysis of the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier principle and the control strategy. The article has built test platform of the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier system, on which massive experiments has been done.The results have indicated that the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier which was designed by the thesis can realize high power factor movement, and eliminate more problems ,such as the big harmonic content, the low power factor and the energy that cannot be back coupling in the traditional circuit and so on. Moreover, it can easily realize the energy two-way flow and the stable control of the rectifier DC voltage. As a result it has the good project practical value.
