Cable-stayed bridge is a main style of long span bridge, and is widely applied in practice.The pylon anchorage zones of cable-stayed bridges, which bear giant cable forces and havecomplicated structure, are keys to structure design. And more and more attention is paid forthe pylon anchorage zone.Lanqi Songhua River Bridge in Jilin City is taken as an engineering example in thispaper. It is a concrete cable-stayed bridge with double towers and single cable plane, which is240 meter. It is also an example of the application of U-prestressing tendon to pylonanchorage zone for cable-stayed bridge. So analyzing the stress of this pylon anchorage zoneis significant.On base of collecting information about the application of U-prestressing tendon,theoretical analysis of the pylon anchorage zone of the bridge is carried out in this paper. Themain research work covers the following aspects:(1) Formulate the theory of loss of circumferential prestressing reingorcement; give outthe paraments of calculation of prestressing loss and the diagram of remaining stresses ofU-prestressing tendon; and the reasons that the elimination of tendon is larger than the testresult are pointed.(2) Using large-scale finite element analysis software, simulation calculation of the pylonanchorage zone in reality work condition is done. So stress distribution is obtained, and thestructure is demonstrated safety.(3) The results of spatial stress analysis are compared with plane model, and somerelated suggestions are represented.(4) By comparison among 3 kinds of anchoring scheme, it comes to the conclusion thatthe double rows U-prestressing tendon scheme is the best one to the analyzed bridge.(5) Cite model test results to verify finite element calculation, it is propitious to masterthe character of pylon anchorage zone.The laws in this paper can be used as the basis of design of pylon anchorage zone for thisbridge, and is useful for directing research and analysis of such kind pylon anchorage zone.
