This work is concerned with a specific Cable-stayed bridge on Yangtze River. Two main aspects are addressed by means of Finite Element Method (FEM):the influence of the distribution of prestressed reinforcements in the anchorage zone of the tower and the dynamic behavior of the bridge under the action of vertical seismic waves. In specific, three main points are studied in the present work:(1) By virtue of FEM, the influence of two specific distributions of prestressed reinforcements in the anchorage zone on the stresses in the anchorage zone and the cable is investigated. Comparison is made in order to optimize the design of the prestressed reinforcements.(2) Studied the effect of temperature on the anchorage zone.(3) Mechanical behaviors of the whole bridge subjected to seismic loads are presented. The present work provides a useful guild for the design of anchorage zone and seismic analyses.
